Editor's review
At times while working under a stressful situation we may end up deleting a word file or an excel document completely from our systems. Typically such issues occur when we are dealing with sensitive official files and do not want to risk an accidental data loss and hence press the Shift + Del keys. However we may inadvertently delete a file that we may need at a later date. In such cases the only recourse you have involves the use of a state of the art recovery application like the SWM File Recovery 2.4.1.
When you launch the SWM File Recovery 2.4.1 application you are greeted with a plain looking blue hued screen. It essentially uses a wizard style interface to recover the files. At the very onset you need to identify the drive that you wish to scan. Once the scan is complete a list of recoverable files is showcased for your benefit and you can choose to restore the ones that you need. An interesting fact about the program is its capacity to bring out data from a formatted data drive. It also is capable of negotiating varied media types including flash media disks. The program has a very compact setup file and works with several iterations of the Windows OS including the latest ones. Given the fact that Ms Office uses a similar underlying data structure for its inherent programs, the application is quite effective in recovering Outlook emails and PowerPoint presentations besides accidentally deleted Word files.
As compared to other products in its class the SWM File Recovery 2.4.1 can genuinely claim to be more user friendly and can beat most tools hand down in terms of recovery speed. Owing to its optimum performance we mark the application with a score of three rating stars on a full scale of five.
